If you are coming to Toronto for a few weeks or even months for a course or business, you may want to get yourself a furnished apartment and make the transition a smooth one. There are several benefits of moving into a furnished apartment in Toronto.

For example, it will be your home and it will feel like it as well, since you will have privacy. You don’t have to bring all your belongings since it is just a short-term rental. It’s a lot cheaper than a hotel and you’ll have lots of privacy unlike a hotel. You can also cook your own food and save on the expenses of eating out all the time.

Toronto is a big and busy city, but if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle, hop on a ferry and go to the Toronto Islands. It’s a nice place to visit to get away from that big city atmosphere. The view of the city skyline is quite breathtaking.

There are 3 main islands but in terms of activities, Centre Island is the one to go to. There’s a boating lagoon, a petting zoo and an amusement park, so you’re bound to have fun as you get away from it all.

2. St. Lawrence Market

Spend a couple of hours at the St. Lawrence Market in the city’s historic Old Town. Constructed in the 17th century, there are so many goodies to indulge in. It’s not just food that you can get; you can get so many other items such as jewelry and there are even cooking classes. You have to visit this place at least once during your stay in Toronto.

The Harbourfront Centre is a place where boredom doesn’t exist but it also makes for a pleasant visit or even a peaceful stroll. It can get pretty windy and depending on what time of the year you happen to be here, make sure you dress appropriately. There’s no harm taking an extra layer as well. You never know, you may even bump into some famous people like Major League Baseball players.

4. CN Tower

The CN Tower is the tallest free-standing structure in the Western Hemisphere. It was the tallest free-standing structure in the world for over 30 years. You may enjoy the feeling of walking on the famous glass floor where you can look down at the ground more than a thousand feet below. This does make some people feel uncomfortable, but it can cause a few giggles if you go with a bunch of friends. There is also a revolving restaurant, though it’s the prices that may make you dizzy!
